The Sad Snake is a magical musical story – just like Prokofiev’s famous Peter and the Wolf – where the music helps tell the tale!

Our adventure begins when a kind-hearted girl named Eva discovers a gentle snake hiding in her garden. She soon realises that the snake is lonely and doesn’t have any friends. So, being the caring girl she is, Eva decides to help him find his family – all the way in the jungle!

Along the way, the music paints wonderful pictures through sound – you can hear the rustling of the forest, the flowing of the river, and the echoing darkness of a cave. There are even exciting encounters with cheeky monkeys, enormous hippos, and fluttering bats!

Running through the whole story is a special, recurring melody that belongs to Eva and the snake – a musical theme that reminds us of their friendship wherever the adventure takes them.

At the end of the journey, the snake finds his family and returns home where he truly belongs. It’s a story about kindness, friendship, and saying goodbye – and every moment of it is told through wonderful, colourful music!
