HOME GROUPS AT ST THOMAS

Home Groups are an important part of our life here at St Thomas. We currently have groups meeting around the parish on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays – some meeting in the morning, some in the afternoon and others in the evening. Most meet weekly, some are fortnightly, and most follow the Sunday morning sermon series.

Home Groups can provide at least three things:

1.     They are a great way of studying the Bible together which many find more helpful than only doing so on one’s own;

2.     They provide support amongst the group members – in prayer, in practical help and in fellowship;

3.     In a church of our size, they’re a wonderful way of getting to know people and making friendships more deeply than is possible just on a Sunday.

So if you’re not already in a Home Group and would like to consider joining one – or starting one – please speak with Tony Bennett after the 10.00 am service or contact the Parish Office who will pass on your enquiry. You could try a group for a week or two with no obligation to join longer term. No previous experience or qualifications required! Home Groups can be for anyone.
